Principle
Under certain touching pressure and contact area, sample becomes a certain angle with sandpaper and
determine its abrasion performance caused by a certain level of sandpaper. Pack sandpaper outside the
surface of roller. The sample is pressed against the roller with sandpaper, which makes sample lateral moving
along roller. Abrasion is caused under the other side of cylindrical specimens measuring the mass loss of
sample value and count the wear amount by sample density.

This tester is used for determining the resistance of
leather, artificial leather, fabric and so on footwear
upper material to water penetration on flexing, in
order to assess the suitability for the end use.

This tester is used to measure the flexing resistance of shoe soles under continuous movement. Before test, plunge some holes at the maximum bending position, and affix specimen at both grips, one fixed, one movable. Specimen runs flexing owing to the movement of machine. The ability of light leathers and leather-cloth used in manufacture of shoe uppers, gloves, and garments to withstand repeated flexing without cracking is determined with the help of a flexing endurance test. In Flexo Meter test, test specimens in shape of rectangular pieces are folded and clamped at each end to maintain them in a folded position in a set of grips, one of which is fixed while the other is able to oscillate. The movement of the oscillating grip causes the fold in the test specimen to run along its centre. This operation is carried out repeatedly and the test specimens inspected periodically to assess the damage produced. The equipment used for this test is called as Flexo meter. This machine is used for safety glove protect area

Principle

Application
To determine the strength of the bond between the
sole and upper at the toe and heel area of the lasted
margin of completed footwear. The method is mainly
applicable to stuck-on or moulded-on constructions
with an extended sole edge.
Principle
A thin rectangular steel plate with an arc shaped cut-out is connected to a force measuring system. The arc
shape is positioned on top of the extended edge of the sole of the test footwear at either the toe or heel. The
wearing surface of the sole is brought into contact with a fulcrum which is a fixed distance from the center of
the arc. The footwear is then rotated by hand about the fulcrum and the force applied by the steel plate
which is necessary to separate the upper from the sole is measured . The test may also be non-destructive by
applying a set maximum force and checking for failure of the bond.

A widely used method for determination of stiffness of fabric is cantilevertest method.
